SEASON 2. PAPER

We are pleased to introduce artist Hwaran, who creates traditional Korean paintings using a variety of materials.

For this exhibition, all of Hwaran’s works are created on custom-made hanji (traditional Korean paper) with specified weight. The hanji is adhered with aged paste, ensuring that no glue marks or discoloration appear over time, preserving its natural color for years to come.

Through the ink-drawn lines on the hanji, viewers can experience and connect with the diverse emotions within Hwaran’s inner world. ©younhyun_library

다양한 재료를 사용해 동양화 작업을 하는 화란작가를 소개합니다.

이번 전시에서 선보이는 화란 작가의 작품은 모두 한지 재료의 평량 을 지정해 만든 제작 한지입니다. 삭힌 풀로 접착한 한지는 시간이 지 나도 누렇게 올라오는 풀 자국이 없이 오랜 시간 고유의 색감을 유지 합니다.
